Rotherham set to battle Plymouth for Arkell Jude-Boyd

Jude-Boyd enjoyed an excellent loan spell with Torquay after being named the club’s Young Player of the Season despite only joining in January.

The defender, who can also play on the wing, scored six goals in 17 appearances in the National League South and earned three Player of the Month awards at Plainmoor.

But that hasn’t proven to be enough to earn the Englishman a new contract at QPR, with his deal set to expire next month.

Jude-Boyd has failed to make any senior appearances for the Rs after progressing through the ranks at Loftus Road.

The right-back is now set to leave the west London club in the coming weeks, with Plymouth and Rotherham both monitoring his situation.

Plymouth will be looking to bolster their squad after securing another season in the Championship, while Rotherham are putting the pieces in place to fight for promotion following their relegation to League One.

The pair could also face interest from other EFL clubs to sign Jude-Boyd after he caught the eye at Torquay.
