Tottenham plan to use 18-year-old sensation Lucas Bergvall as a regular first-team player next season, sources have told Football Insider.
Bergvall agreed to join Spurs earlier this month and he is set to move to north London on 1st July from Swedish outfit Djurgarden.
Well-placed club sources have told Football Insider that Tottenham regard the teenager as a “generational talent” capable of slotting straight into their senior team.
The plan is for him to link straight up with the first-team squad and challenge for a first-team position despite his inexperience and tender age.
The signing of Bergvall was seen as a “massive coup” by Tottenham, with the youngster opting to move to the Premier League side after rejecting advances from La Liga giants Barcelona and other European clubs.
Bergvall, who penned a five-year deal with the Lilywhites, reportedly cost a fee approaching £8.5million.

The midfielder has made 29 appearances for Djurgarden since earning his competitive debut in December 2022 and has scored three goals and provided one assist.
Bergvall, born in 2006, was a regular for Sweden’s youth set-ups but earned his full senior debut in January in a 2-1 friendly win against Estonia.
The six-foot-one star has been hailed for his exceptional footwork in tight spaces, passing accuracy and impressive tackling, which earned him considerable interest from across Europe.
